How Does a Casement Window Work? Print

  • 0

Also called ‘crank-style’ windows, casement frames are hinged on one side. The entire structure swings open outwards from the unhinged side. You can choose between single or double casement windows.

Double casements have two frames hinged on opposite sides. You can swing open and close this window by pushing at the centre. Since these windows can be as expansive as you want, they offer mesmerising panoramic views along with quality ventilation, when opened.

Alternatively, if you are short on space, but want to liven up a corner, installing a single-framed casement window can do the trick. A single casement window is often used in bathrooms and kitchens to ensure proper ventilation.
